The Art & Science Of A 2 Hour Massage
This class will provide you with techniques, tools, and theory to have a positive impact on each system, joint, and muscle of the body.
- Know and describe the most common pain patterns experienced by the general public
- Know and describe common muscle groups involved in compensation
- Know the difference between hypertonic, ischemic and fibrotic tissue
- Understand the planes of the body and their patterns of dysfunction in relation to external femoral rotation and shoulder pronation
- Be able to describe and demonstrate methods of improving each tissue state

A Therapeutic Approach To Hot Stone Massage
Hot stones are for more than just relaxing! Increasing blood flow can be one of the best ways to influence soft tissue discomfort. Incorporating cold stones for contrast therapy will provide an even greater effect on the lymphatic system. This class will provide you with not only a routine for a hot stone massage, but protocols for contrast therapy to enhance the therapeutic efficacy of your bodywork!
Learning Objectives:
- List indications for hot stone massage
- Know contraindications for hot/cold stone massage
- Demonstrate soft tissue areas of atrophy, lymph stagnation, and poor organ motility
- Demonstrate stone massage for face, neck, stomach, glutes and legs
- Format menu options and protocols to incorporate stones
- Demonstrate proper cleaning of stones

A Therapeutic Approach To Cupping
Tissue comes in all shapes and sizes. Cupping is an invaluable tool to help many conditions. This class will enhance your ability to provide relief for your client, while expanding your service menu.
Three cupping styles will be taught. Facial cupping, dynamic cupping, and vacuum cupping.
All tools are supplied for in class training.

- Demonstrate flash, glide and resting techniques
- Demonstrate cupping for face, neck, stomach, glutes and legs
- Format menu options and protocols to incorporate cupping

FULL BODY DETOX MASSAGE
This class will provide you with applications for contrast therapy for the feet, belly, head face and neck with hot/cold stones and frozen towels.
- Know and describe the detox systems of the body
- Know and describe common pathologies and pharmacology associated with poor blood/lymph flow
- Know the difference between hypertonic, ischemic and fibrotic tissue
- Know and understand the abdominal organs and systems of detox and fluid movement
- Be able to describe and demonstrate methods of the diaphragm in blood and lymph mobility
Vacuum (continuous machine) cupping will be learned for the belly, along with a full abdominal massage routine. You will learn to incorporate a breath protocol into your new routine. Facial cupping, massage gun, scalp massage and lymph techniques are a few of the contents of this amazing session. This session is designed to enhance the function of our detox systems using our thermoregulatory mechanism and oxygen and CO2 regulation. You will give and receive the full two-hour session on day 2.

Sandra has 16+ years experience in massage and bodywork. She blends her own training in Craniosacral Therapy, Ashiatsu, Neurokinetic Therapy, Eldoa, Cupping, and more, to provide an integrative approach to massage and bodywork. Classes with Sandra will not only benefit your client outcomes, but enhance your experience as a licensed massage theapist. Having experience in both traditional spa settings, and currently in private practice, there will be knowledge available to any therapists working in the market today.
